CBD - just the facts
More research prescribed for CBD
There’s a lot of talk these days about CBD. Some would suggest that it is nothing short of magic. In truth, CBD may offer hope for those who have not responded to traditional pharmaceuticals. It’s not a cure-all but cannabidiol is showing so much promise that the World Health Organization (WHO) has recommended that it be studied further to determine its therapeutic properties in relieving and managing the symptoms of, and even curing, many debilitating diseases. After clearing CBD of any effects indicative of abuse or dependence, the WHO’s Expert Committee on Drug Dependence has strongly urged scientists to push forward with research to demonstrate the plant’s medicinal value.
“There is also evidence that CBD may be a useful treatment for a number of … medical conditions.”
- Cannabidiol (CBD) Pre-Review Report, Expert Committee on Drug Dependence, WHO, November 2017
